Job summary

Parkland Health Center in Farmington, MO is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician II to join the laboratory team serving both Farmington and Bonne Terre labs. You will process and analyze specimens, perform instrument maintenance, calibrations, and quality control, and may assist with outpatient blood draws as needed.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree, 2 years of laboratory experience, and MLS certification (ASCP/AMT/AAB).

Qualifications

• 2 years of laboratory experience required.
• MLS certification through ASCP, AMT, or AAB.
• Experience as an MT/MLS or similar laboratory professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report and maintain records of patient test results.
• Document test management problems and initiate corrective action.
• Perform quality controls on equipment and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Operate laboratory instrumentation to deliver accurate results.
• Train new personnel in methods and equipment.
