Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform hematology, chemistry, bacteriology, serology and urinalysis tests to support patient care.

You will maintain instruments, contribute to the lab quality program, mentor new staff, and help interpret results with clinicians.

Qualifying credentials include an Associate’s Degree in MLT and MLT(ASCP) certification; one year of acute care lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required with coursework for ASCP certification.
• One year of acute care MLT experience preferred.
• MLT(ASCP) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Promote process improvement and own outcomes.
• Maintain safe, clean lab and comply with regulations.
• Explain test results and mentor staff.
• Operate and maintain lab instruments; perform maintenance.
• Perform hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis per guidelines.
• Document findings in LIS and communicate critical values.
• Participate in quality control and proficiency testing.
