Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform a full range of laboratory procedures including quality control, specimen processing, testing and reporting of results. You will also help evaluate new techniques and train staff on equipment and software.

Qualified candidates have an associate degree in a life sciences field, 1 year of laboratory experience (BB/Flow/Micro preferred), and a MLT certification or eligibility (ASCP or AMT).

Qualifications

• Associate degree required in chemical, physical, or biological science, or MLT education.
• 1 year lab scientist experience preferred (BB, Flow, Micro) or clinical internships.
• Certification: MLT (ASCP or AMT) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all laboratory procedures including quality control and reporting.
• Assist in evaluating new techniques and training staff on equipment and software.
• Communicate test results to medical staff and maintain QA.
