Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform all laboratory procedures, quality control, specimen collection, processing, testing, and reporting of lab results. You will assist in evaluating new or modified techniques and help orient and train other personnel on equipment and software.

The role requires an Associate degree and at least one year of lab experience, with MLT certification or eligibility within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Two-year/associate education required or equivalent training.
• One year laboratory experience required; internship may count.
• MLT certification or eligible (ASCP/AMT) required; certification/maintenance within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform all laboratory procedures including quality control and reporting of results.
• Handle specimen processing, testing, and analysis.
• Assist in evaluation of new or modified techniques.
• Train/orient other personnel on equipment and software as necessary.
