The role handles specimen processing and preparation for reference labs, ensuring accuracy and safety in a fast-paced setting with potential hazardous materials. Requirements include an associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical lab technology and at least 1 year of high-complexity testing experience, plus strong reading, writing and analytical abilities.

Qualificações

• Associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsabilidades

• Perform a vital part in processing and preparing specimens to be sent out to different reference labs.
• Identifies specimen issues and in some cases, may resolve issues with specimen types.
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
