Job summary

The Medical Lab Technician/UKHC supports pre-analytical processes in a fast-paced academic medical center at the Good Samaritan Laboratory. The MLT handles receipt, processing, and throughput of patient specimens while upholding HIPAA.

It performs waived testing and assists other labs across the Enterprise, delivering strong customer service in a CAP-accredited environment. Team-oriented, capable of problem-solving, and able to multi-task, the MLT contributes to the overall laboratory operations

Qualifications

• Assist in pre-analytical support for patient specimens.
• Process and throughput of specimens while adhering to HIPAA requirements.
• Perform waived patient testing.
• Provide support to all other clinical laboratories within the Enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Provide general laboratory receipt, processing, and throughput of patient specimens.
• Support to all other clinical laboratories within the Enterprise, as well as customer service for all internal and external customers.
• Troubleshoot and multi-task in a team-oriented environment.
