Job description

Overview

The Medical Technician, MLT, CLT is responsible for performing laboratory procedures across at least three or more functional sections of the clinical laboratory, in accordance with established policies and procedures. The key areas include Blood Bank, Hematology, Coagulation, Immunology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Microbiology. The technician maintains laboratory instruments, performs Quality Control procedures, conducts calibrations, reviews QC and calibration data to ensure accuracy, and contributes to improving laboratory performance. Additional duties may include teaching, purchasing, inventory management, and writing procedures, depending on the technician's area of expertise.

Qualifications

MLT (ASCP), MLT (AAB), MLT (AMT), or CLT certification.
