Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join the Blood Bank team at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA. Schedule: 7 on 7 off, 9:00 PM–7:30 AM. Location: Swedish First Hill, 747 Broadway, Seattle.

Responsibilities include testing, instrument troubleshooting, quality control and reporting results to support patient care. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology and ASCP or AMT certification.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology is required.
• ASCP or AMT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing.
• Function as a generalist across hospital laboratory departments.
• Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Prepare, test and evaluate reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control.

LabCorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA

Schedule Wednesday-Tuesday 7 on 7 off 9:00PM-7:30AM

Department Blood Bank

Location Swedish First Hill– 747 Broadway; Seattle, WA

Job Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Function as a generalist across hospital laboratory departments
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology
• ASCP or AMT certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of recent Blood Bank experience

• Pay Range: $34.00-$50.00

Plus 3rd shift differential

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
