Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in Southern Indiana / Louisville area is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT/MT) for part-time shifts (48 hours biweekly). Work is 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with three 8-hour shifts weekly, and every third weekend.

IN state location: New Albany, IN. Qualified candidates will have an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related science, and ASCP or AMT certification (or will obtain within 18 months).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Science and testing procedures.
• Ability to perform high complexity testing.
• Understanding of the clinical relevance of laboratory testing and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform high complexity testing according to SOPs.
• Maintain records of performance and generate acceptable test results within QC standards.
• Adhere to CLIA '88 standards and laboratory policies.

In this role, you must have knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Science, possess the skills necessary to perform high complexity testing and have an understanding of the clinical relevance of laboratory testing and reporting. Must maintain records of performance and utilize independent judgement to generate acceptable test results within QC standards. Performs testing according to standard operating procedures.

Qualifications
