Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking an MLT or MT for a part-time night shift (48 hours biweekly, 10p-6:30a) in the Southern Indiana/Louisville area. The role requires knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Science and ability to perform high complexity testing per SOPs.

As part of a regional non-profit hospital, the position offers team-based collaboration and opportunities for continued education and growth, with an emphasis on QC and proper documentation. EOE.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related biological science from an accredited institution
• ASCP or AMT certification
• Current students must attain ASCP/AMT certification within 18 months
• Must meet CLIA '88 standards to be qualified as testing personnel

Responsibilities

• Perform high complexity testing according to standard operating procedures
• Maintain records of performance and utilize independent judgement to generate acceptable test results within QC standards
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a regional hospital setting

In this role, you must haveknowledge of Clinical Laboratory Science, possess the skills necessary to perform high complexity testing and have anunderstanding of the clinical relevance of laboratory testing and reporting. Must maintain records of performance and utilize independent judgement to generate acceptable test results within QCstandards. Performs testing according to standard operating procedures.
