Job description

Job Summary:
We are urgently seeking a qualified MLS or MLT Generalist to join our clinical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in all major areas of the lab and capable of handling a varied weekday schedule, including occasional call coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Microbiology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Routine Testing
• Conduct and review quality control and ensure proper maintenance of laboratory instruments
• Utilize Blood Bank Gel method for transfusion testing
• Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed
• Assist with microbiology setups (preferred)
• Document and maintain accurate laboratory records and logs
• Participate in lab inspections, compliance activities, and quality improvement initiatives
• Use Orchard Laboratory Information System (LIS) (preferred)
• Obtain arterial punctures (preferred)

Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (10-hour shifts, variable schedule)
• On-call coverage required 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (rotated)
• Holiday coverage required
• No weekend routine shifts anticipated

Required Qualifications:
• Must be a Generalist capable of working across all lab disciplines listed above
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant lab experience

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Microbiology setups
• Experience using Orchard LIS
• Experience obtaining arterial punctures
