Job Summary and Qualifications

• Performs chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic procedures in laboratory sections.
• Maintains records of performance, patient results, and quality control per policies.
• Maintains equipment, records preventive and remedial maintenance.
• Participates in quality assurance and improvement projects.
• May participate in research, development, and cost analysis of procedures.
• Trains new personnel as required.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Three years of lab experience preferred.
• National certification is not required.
