Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform and interpret a variety of laboratory tests for neonatal to geriatric patients in a state-of-the-art Clinical Laboratory.

You will support accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should hold an associate degree in laboratory science or have graduated from a military science program with MLT certification and be eligible for standard certification exams.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in lab science or MIL program with MLT certification.
• Must pass Color Acuity screening.
• Eligible for certification exam (ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB or HHS).

Responsibilities

Performs and interprets laboratory tests in the Clinical Laboratory for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Associates degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution OR Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Lab Technician. Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.
• Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test
• Applicants must have completed (or be eligible for) an appropriate certification examination
  • Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

PREFERRED

• Experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting

8:30am-5:00pm
