Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a clinical laboratory professional to perform and interpret tests across neonate to geriatric patients. The role supports diagnostic care in a high-volume laboratory and requires strong accuracy and attention to detail.

The candidate must have an associate degree in a laboratory science and be eligible for relevant certification; a Color-Acuity screening is required and certification through ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB or HHS is expected.

Performs and interprets laboratory tests in the Clinical Laboratory for the diagnosis and care of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

REQUIRED

1. Associates degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution OR Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Lab Technician. Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.
2. Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test
3. Applicants must have completed (or be eligible for) an appropriate certification examination
   • Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)

PREFERRED

1. Experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting
