Job summary

Mid-Valley Hospital & Clinic seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine laboratory testing across bench areas. The role includes rotating shifts on evenings/weekends, venipuncture, data entry, and maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in MLS/MLT, be ASCP-licensed or plan to obtain licensure within a year, and demonstrate proficiency with LIS and QA processes in a fast-paced hospital lab.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required.
• Current Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP) licensure or eligibility within one year of hire.
• Proven skills in routine lab testing and familiarity with computerization.

Responsibilities

• Rotates in different bench areas of the laboratory, including evenings and weekends.
• Performs venipunctures and capillary sticks as required.
• Provides accurate and reproducible results of routine and specialized testing.
• Maintains clean work area and participates in training of staff and students.
• Operates LIS and other computer systems; reports results within time guidelines.
