Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician to perform and report analyses from multiple specimen sources, ensuring high-quality patient care. You will manage specimen handling, perform instrument maintenance, troubleshoot, and follow reporting procedures while utilizing computer systems.

The role includes training staff, staying current through education, and ensuring safety and policy compliance within a collaborative laboratory environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and certification or experience in medical laboratory science or technology.
Military experience in related medical laboratory roles is welcomed.

Responsibilities

Managing specimen handling, identification, accessioning, and resolving discrepancies
Performing instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, quality control, and reagent replenishment
Following established reporting procedures and utilizing multiple computer applications
Training new staff and participating in ongoing education to maintain current knowledge
Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and safety standards
