Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist for the Montvale, New Jersey Reference Laboratory. The role involves performing high complexity testing in immunohematology and contributing to quality control and validations within a regulated, mission-driven environment.

You will be supported by coaches and managers who value career growth, with opportunities to fast-track MLS credentials and advance within the laboratory team.

Qualifications

• MLS/BB certification required
• 2 years' clinical laboratory experience required
• SBB certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.
• Review and report test results, participate in investigations, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
• Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.

Schedule: EVE 3:00 PM - 11:30PM (rotates W/E)

Shift Differential: As applicable

Training: Training Days (7:00 AM - 3:30PM) Monday-Friday.

Training location: Montvale, NJ

Base Pay: 42.73 / hour - $59.20 / hour (depending on role).

• Medical Lab Scientist II MLS/BB certification required. 2 years in a clinical laboratory setting required. Pay: $42.73/hour - $44.77/hour
• Medical Lab Scientist III SBB certification preferred. MLS/BB certification required. 3 years lab experience with 1-year IRL required. 2 years lead/charge experience required. Pay $49.14/hour - $51.48/hour
• Medical Lab Scientist IV SBB required. Base Wage: $59.20 / hour
