Job summary

St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster, CO is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist to analyze and report tests ordered by the Medical Staff, ensuring timely results and adherence to laboratory procedures and regulatory guidelines to aid patient diagnosis and treatment.

You will perform a variety of tests with precision, document findings, and collaborate with healthcare providers to contribute critical data for patient care decisions, while upholding CLIA standards and quality control

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA.
Must be appropriately trained in clinical laboratory science as evaluated by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory.

Responsibilities

Performs cytogenetic testing with a high level of competency according to established protocols.
Generates and reports results which are used for making accurate diagnoses and prognoses, which influences patient care and management.
Responsible for accurate and timely result reporting, including communication and documentation of critical results.
Utilizes critical thinking skills and exercises independent judgment to correlate and interpret data.
Responsible for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instruments and appropriate documentation of activities.
Completes required QC and maintenance, consistently recognizing variances and documenting appropriate corrective action.
