Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs waived, moderately complex, and highly complex tests on patient specimens following SOPs and reports results accurately.
• Provides patient care through clinical correlation of results and rapid notification of critical values within turn-around times.
• Ensures major automated equipment is operational via maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting; contacts vendors as needed.
• Performs calibration and quality control procedures and maintains records to ensure tests stay within parameters.
• Performs proficiency testing and reviews results with laboratory leaders.
• Assists in evaluating and documenting validation of new procedures and equipment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical science (CLIA defined)
