Mercy Health – Kings Mills Hospital is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) to perform routine tests on blood, tissues and other specimens and deliver accurate results to physicians, while ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• BS in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field from a CLIA-approved program.
• MLS Certification or eligible (ASCP preferred).
• Externship program completed (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs analytical tests on biological specimens accurately and timely.
• Determines specimen acceptability and flags abnormal results.
• Performs quality control and ensures results meet established ranges.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and compliant work environment; troubleshoots equipment.
