Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist to support a client facility in Irving, TX 75063. This is a 3-month contract with possible extension or conversion, and the shift is Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Pay rate is $35-$40 per hour on a W-2 basis, depending on experience and education. Key duties include specimen acceptability, performing routine and complex procedures per SOPs, instrument troubleshooting, testing decisions, reagent evaluation, and timely reporting of

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
MLT/MLS certification is required.
Proficient with computers and laboratory information systems.
Strong attention to detail, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen.

Responsibilities

Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
Report accurate and timely test results.
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
