Job summary

Lafayette Regional Health Center in Lexington, Missouri, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) PRN to join their lab team. The MLS conducts routine and complex tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

You will perform procedures in one or more laboratory sections, ensure accurate results through quality control, calibration, and adherence to testing protocols, and contribute to high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or related science required OR Grandfathered as a medical technologist by CLIA 88
• MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification or registry eligible; must be obtained within 1 year of hire
• Experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, hematology, microbiology, serology and related laboratory procedures.
• Produce accurate results across sections and maintain quality control and equipment calibration.
• Follow approved testing procedures and ensure reliability of testing and reporting.

Education
