Position Summary

This role requires a high level of technical knowledge in laboratory testing, clinical relevance, and complex problem-solving. The technician will serve as a resource for the department and ensure compliance with all accreditation and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA '88, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA). Responsibilities may include specimen collection, receipt, and processing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/technology or in chemical/biological sciences with certification (MLS or categorical)
• Foreign candidates must provide credential evaluation
• Experience in phlebotomy where applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• MLS/MT or categorical certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB)
• Knowledge of specimen requirements and medical terminology
