Preferred MLS/MT certification and phlebotomy experience; foreign credential evaluation may be required for non-U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in MLS/medical technology or in a chemical/biological science with eligibility for certification.
Certification (MLS or categorical) or a certificate of completion from an MLS program.
Maintain certification throughout employment in NV/CA as required by state rules.
Foreign-educated candidates must provide credential evaluation (IERF or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Apply high-level technical knowledge to department testing and clinical relevance; solve complex problems.
Assist with compliance to CLIA ’88, JCAHO, CAP, OSHA and applicable accreditation requirements.
May assist with collection, receipt, and processing of specimens in the laboratory.
