Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science preferred.
• Internship in an approved Medical Technology training program is required and
• 2 Years experience as MLS is strongly preferred
• MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist 6 Months is required
• MLS(ASCP) - Medical Lab Scientist 6 Months is required
• Other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology 6 Months is required
• M(ASCP) - Microbiology if working in Microbiology 6 Months is required

Responsibilities

• Maintains specimen integrity throughout the testing process
• Demonstrates active cost effectiveness
• Participates in orientation and training of students, volunteers, new employees and observers
• Adhere to the THR Promise Behaviors
• Gives direction and guidance to technical staff and laboratory support personnel
• Demonstrates understanding of quality control guidelines

Education

Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology or related science

Internship in an approved Medical Technology training program

MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist certification

MLS(ASCP) - Medical Lab Scientist certification

Other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license

M(ASCP) - Microbiology certification if working in Microbiology
