Job summary

YNHHS in North Haven, CT seeks a Laboratory Specimen Accession Clerk to receive and process specimens, accession them in the LIS, and assist with HIS registration. You will work with Medical Laboratory Scientists to ensure timely reporting and maintain QA/QC standards, while handling lab supplies and data entry.

• Troubleshoot specimen-related problems independently.
• Assist with inventory and supply management for hospital and customers.
• Maintain hardware and equipment as needed.
• Use computer programs in laboratory and hospital systems for data entry and retrieval.
• Perform other duties as needed.
