Responsibilities

• Receive, accession and process specimens to ensure timely reporting of results and positive patient identification.
• Handle telephone inquiries and transfer as needed.
• Perform registration in HIS as needed.
• Process reference lab testing as needed.
• Independently troubleshoot specimen-related problems.
• Maintain hardware and equipment and assist with inventory and supply management.
