Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience not required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfort with basic computer systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to performance standards and hospital policies.
• Handle incoming phone inquiries and transfer as needed.
• Receive, accession and process specimens to ensure timely reporting of results.
• Register in HIS as needed and assist with reference lab testing.
• Troubleshoot specimen-related issues independently.
• Assist with inventory and supply management and equipment maintenance.
• Use laboratory and hospital computer systems for accurate data entry and retrieval.
• Maintain data integrity and documentation across systems.
• Collaborate with Medical Laboratory Scientists and other staff.
• Perform other duties as needed.
