Job summary

American Oncology Network, Inc. is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to assist physicians in the Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders. You will perform phlebotomy, run lab tests, maintain quality control, and assist with specimen handling and processing in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Responsibilities include preparing slides, coordinating outside labs, documenting in the EMR, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Travel to other clinic locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• One year of medical assistant experience with venipuncture.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory blood draws.
• Conduct quality control and instrument maintenance.
• Prepare slides and handle specimen processing.
• Coordinate outside testing and referrals as needed.
• Document results in EMR and maintain logs.
