Lexington Health in West Columbia, SC, seeks a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to support specimen collection, processing, and pre-analytical lab workflows in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role emphasizes accurate registration, specimen handling, regulatory compliance, and proficiency with EPIC and LIS systems.

Six months of lab or related customer service experience is preferred; education includes a BS/BA or an Associate's with relevant experience.

Competenze

• BS or BA in Natural Sciences or equivalent required.
• Six months experience in a Laboratory setting or related customer service/office experience.
• Associate's Degree with 3+ years in Clinical/Anatomic Pathology Lab experience as an alternative.
• High School Diploma with 5 years experience in a clinical lab setting required.
• Excellent computer knowledge and skills required.

Mansioni

• Greets patients and representatives to obtain ID and insurance information with physician orders.
• Provides prep and collection instructions for self-collected tests.
• Performs venipuncture and capillary punctures for diverse patients.
• Manages specimens from registration to testing departments and holding locations.
• Ensures proper labeling for accurate patient identification.
• Handles inquiries and provides excellent customer service via phone.
