Job summary

Lexington Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Assistant II to support diagnostic testing in the clinical laboratory. The role involves registration, specimen handling, and pre-analytical workflows with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and excellent patient service.

The MLA II will work independently within regulatory standards, operate laboratory computer systems including EPIC, and assist with training and quality improvements while maintaining a clean and organized lab environment.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Natural Sciences or equivalent required.
• Six months in a lab setting or related experience acceptable.
• Association with 3 years lab/clinical experience is an option.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and capture ID and insurance information.
• Perform specimen collection and venipuncture as needed.
• Receive, track, and deliver specimens to testing departments.
