Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in CS/CE/EE with software focus or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with medical devices, biotechnology, or analytical instrumentation preferred.
• Strong C++ and Python development skills.
• Experience with microcontrollers and hardware interfacing.
• Proficiency with Linux environments and version control.
• Familiarity with ISO quality frameworks (13485/62304) preferred.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack software development for medical IVD systems and analysis software.
• Design and refine GUI/UX for non-technical users to control instruments.
• Program and test microcontrollers to communicate with sensors and hardware.
• Write, test, and optimize C++ and Python code for control and data processing.
• Implement cybersecurity controls and secure coding practices.
• Adhere to QMS and ISO 13485/62304 throughout the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with biologists, systems engineers, and hardware teams.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues and reproduce user workflows.
• Document software lifecycle, design specs, and verification protocols.
