Job summary

Meet Life Sciences Ltd. in San Francisco seeks a seasoned Full Stack Software Engineer to build core applications for a brain-computer interface product ecosystem, combining desktop Rust with server and web components.

You will work cross-functionally to translate clinical needs into secure, scalable software, while upholding design controls and quality practices in an early-stage medical device startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable hands-on experience.
• Minimum 3 years of production software experience across the full stack.
• Proficient in Rust; Python is strong.
• Proven systems design, data flow, performance-sensitive code, and API design.
• Strong knowledge of software quality practices, automated testing, and CI/CD in live production.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead technical solutions in an early-stage HW/SW company.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and support software in Rust for desktop, with server/web contributions.
• Develop APIs and data pipelines for real-time and batch time-series data.
• Collaborate with firmware, ML, clinical, and product teams to connect client and server software.
• Promote code quality, modular design, documentation, and automated testing.
• Create design docs, specs, and verification protocols to meet medical software design controls.
