Midtown Pain and Spine Clinic is seeking an Insurance Authorization Coordinator in Raleigh, NC. The role ensures authorizations are secured for procedures, imaging orders, and injectable medications prior to patient visits, and verifies insurance coverage and patient estimated costs.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of deductibles and coinsurance.
• Ability to handle high patient volumes professionally.

• Office-based role with frequent contact with patients and medical staff.

Responsabilités

• Complete pre-certification for procedures and imaging orders.
• Complete pre-certification of injectable medications and coordinate pharmacy deliveries.
• Review orders with providers to approve and schedule appropriately.
• Document authorization information in computer systems as required.
• Inform patients of estimated out-of-pocket expenses and authorization status.
• Monitor physician schedules for added procedures or changes.
• Ensure procedures are scheduled correctly and in a timely manner.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality.
• Maintain operations by adhering to policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
