Job summary

CareWell Health Medical Center seeks a Respiratory Equipment Technician to manage medical gas infrastructure, cylinders, and delivery systems. This non-clinical role focuses on logistics, safety, and hardware, while supporting Respiratory Therapists with non-clinical tasks and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities include stocking and tracking gas cylinders, documenting orders, performing safety checks, rounds across departments, maintaining PAR levels, and ensuring regulatory compliance with

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; excellent communication skills.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Experience with respiratory equipment and stock management preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and safety Practices (Joint Commission, OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Stock, track, and order respiratory supplies, including gas cylinders.
• Rounds on patient care departments and central distribution to ensure availability of cylinders.
• Maintain PAR levels of respiratory therapy supplies and place orders with supervision as needed.
• Document purchase orders and maintain equipment logs.
• Transport and distribute respiratory equipment to care areas and labs.
• Perform safety checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage central gas systems safety and cylinder inventory integrity.
• Assist RTs with non-clinical tasks such as ventilator setup and oxygen management.
