Job summary

Select Medical in Auburn, ME is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join our outpatient physical therapy center. You will greet patients, register them, schedule appointments, and help with insurance verifications and co-pays, delivering a friendly, efficient front-desk experience.

This full-time role offers a weekday schedule with evenings until 6:30pm, competitive hourly pay of $18.00–$20.00, and benefits including PTO, medical/dental coverage, and a company-matching 401(k).

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1 Year of Medical Office Experience
• Preferred: Insurance Verification Experience
• Preferred: 1 Year of Scheduling Experience
• Preferred: 1 Year of Front Desk Experience

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Schedule: Weekdays, Monday through Friday (2 evenings until 6:30pm)

Compensation:$18.00 - $20.00/hour
