Job summary

Star Physical Therapy Services, a Baton Rouge outpatient orthopedic clinic, is hiring a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team. You will greet patients, verify information, and coordinate care from evaluation to discharge, while maintaining charts and handling payments with accuracy.

We seek a candidate with 1+ year of front desk experience, strong customer service, and proficiency in Word/Excel.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 1+ years of medical front office experience preferred
• Excellent telephone skills
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Experience with medical software is preferred
• Flexible with hours
• Great time management and organizational skills
• Team player attitude and energetic with a focus on customer service

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and providing outstanding customer service
• Coordinating the care for each patient from initial evaluation to discharge
• Verifying current personal and financial information
• Maintaining patient charts and electronic medical records
• Collecting, posting, and depositing patient payments
• Faxing, filing, and performing any other duties as assigned
