Job summary

Dayton Gastroenterology in Englewood, OH is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join our diverse team. You will greet patients, manage front desk duties, schedule visits, verify demographics in the EMR, collect payments, and coordinate referrals.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, knowledge of medical terminology, prior front office experience, and BLS certification. Occasional travel to Beavercreek may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Prior experience in a front office capacity preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, assessing their needs and directing them appropriately.
• Answer phones and triage as needed.
• Verify and/or enter patient demographics in the EMR.
• Check for necessary referrals.
• Complete forms and assemble patient charts.
• Schedule appointments and procedures, including x-rays and tests.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances at visit.
• Confirm upcoming visits and procedures for the following day.
• Maintain patient records and keep the front desk organized.
