Job summary

The Ear Nose & Throat Institute of Connecticut is seeking a Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients, handling check-in, scheduling, and insurance verification in a fast-paced ENT practice.

This full-time day-shift role requires excellent English, strong organizational skills, and experience with EMR systems; travel to multiple locations is required. Salary is hourly with benefits including health coverage and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English.
• Experience as medical receptionist preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR software and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and welcoming manner.
• Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries with professionalism.
• Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments.
• Maintain patient records and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and provide support as needed.
• Manage office supplies and maintain cleanliness of the reception area.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned by management.
• Daily review of the schedule and manage appointments by order of arrival and delays.
