Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in person or by phone.
• Answer the phone with polite, consistent etiquette.
• Keep reception area clean and organized.
• Register new patients and update demographics with detailed information.
• Facilitate patient flow by notifying providers of arrivals and delays.
• Respond to inquiries courteously.
• Maintain stocked medical office supplies and monitor equipment.
• Protect PHI and ensure security of patient information (HIPAA).
• Collect co-pays and patient balances; reconcile end-of-day collections.
