Job summary
BMS Performance Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Technician to support hospitals in Palo Alto and the surrounding area.
This field-based role focuses on preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs for medical equipment, with some installation activity and travel to nearby facilities. You will service ~10-20 hospital locations, predominantly at one primary site, and interact with hospital staff and engineering teams.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of relevant technical experience.
- Experience on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Good communication and a customer-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on medical equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- Service hospital beds, patient lifts and mobility equipment.
- Support installation of new equipment where required.
- Respond to customer service requests and technical issues.
- Maintain equipment to quality and safety standards.
- Manage spare parts, stock and equipment requirements.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and records.
- Build strong relationships with hospital staff and engineering teams.
- Understand customer service agreements and identify opportunities for additional support.
