Job summary

Lincare is seeking a dedicated CPAP/RAD Technician in Ruston, LA to set up CPAPs/RADs, train patients on proper use, and manage in-home equipment. The role involves documentation, equipment maintenance, and coordinating supplies with insurers.

Eligible applicants should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and complete the company Equipment Certification Program. On-site duties may include on-call responsibilities and travel to patients' homes.

  • Must be able to read and interpret instructions and effectively communicate them to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Performs CPAP/RAD setups in a timely and professional manner.
  • May perform setup of oxygen equipment and other DME in patients' homes.
  • Complete required documentation and instruct patients on safe equipment use.
  • Clean rental equipment and maintain warehouse/storage area.
  • Monitor CPAP/RAD Compliance and follow up with non-compliant patients.
  • Respond to patient requests for CPAP/RAD supplies, verify insurance, and arrange shipment.
  • Monitor mdINR Compliance and follow up with non-compliant patients.
  • Manage the center's oximetry process.
  • Follow company Safety & Regulatory procedures including OSHA requirements.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities based on center size and staffing.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner and support patient care activities.
  • May back up other employees during vacations or absences.
  • Must use a personal vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license.

Job description

This employee will set up CPAPs, Respiratory Assist Devices (RADs), maintain CPAP/RAD Compliance, manage CPAP/RAD supplies/inquiries/orders, call mdINR missed appointments, manage Oximetry process, and complete all other tasks assigned/related to the functionality of the center.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs CPAP/RAD setups in a timely and professional manner
    • May also perform setup of oxygen equipment and other DME in patients' homes as well
    • This includes completion of all required documentation, instructs patient on the safe and proper use of equipment
  • Cleans rental equipment when returned to the center, in accordance with policies and procedures
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse/storage area
  • Monitors CPAP/RAD Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients
  • Receives and responds to patient requests for CPAP/RAD supplies, including insurance verification, confirmation of the specific supplies needed, and arranging for them to be shipped to the patient
  • Monitors mdINR Compliance report and follows up with non-compliant patients
  • Manage the center's oximetry process
  • Follows applicable policies and procedures of the company, including those in the Safety & Regulatory Manual including but not limited to General Safety, OSHA, and Emergency Planning
  • Responsible for participating in on-call responsibilities for the center
    • The frequency of participation will depend on the size of the center and the number of employees sharing the responsibility
  • Represents the company through professional personal appearance, patient care activities
  • May serve as a backup to other employees for vacation, illness, or other periods of absenteeism
  • Requires use of personal vehicle and a valid driver's license

Physical Demands:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
