Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team. You will be responsible for tasks related to patient information intake concerning durable medical equipment and respiratory products, communication with patients, clients, co-workers, and referral sources, as well as third-party reimbursement processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with updating respiratory grid and check all paperwork for accuracy
  • Communicate with patients/clients and referral sources to address questions and concerns
  • Complete SOPs/CMNs and document on tracking logs
  • Coordinate patient information, prepare paperwork for billing, and complete batch reports
  • Maintain referral logs and monitor office supplies
  • Prepare deposits, invoices, and handle paperwork including patient setup and chart assembly
  • Provide service for retail/walk-in equipment requests and technical assistance to customers
  • Verify insurance coverage and work with outside agencies to resolve issues
  • May be required to cover on-call duties, drive a company vehicle, and make home deliveries
Qualifications
  • Background check and drug screening
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record (if applicable)
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Medical equipment experience, billing, or administrative record management preferred
  • One year of related work experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Ability to perform basic math, maintain confidentiality, multi-task, and work independently or in a team
Technical Skills
  • Email, internet research, Microsoft Office applications, office equipment proficiency
Physical Demands
  • Lifting up to 35 pounds, driving, exposure to pathogens, and various physical activities
