Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this position, you are responsible for tasks and communication related to patient information intake concerning durable medical equipment and respiratory products and supplies, involving patients/clients, co-workers, and referral sources, especially regarding patient services and third-party reimbursement.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with updating respiratory grid
  • Clear previous day's route and check all paperwork for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate with patients/clients and referral sources both verbally and in writing to ensure questions and concerns are addressed promptly
  • Complete SOPs/CMNs and document on tracking log
  • Comply with all applicable policies and procedures to meet JCAHO and company standards
  • Coordinate patient information, process paperwork for billing, and prepare batch reports for deliveries
  • Maintain referral log
  • Monitor office supplies
  • Prepare deposits and invoices as needed
  • Process paperwork, confirm tickets, input new patient setups, and assemble charts
  • Provide service for retail/walk-in equipment requests and technical assistance to customers
  • Verify insurance coverage including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
  • Collaborate with outside agencies to resolve customer issues
  • May be required to cover on-call duties, drive a company vehicle, and make home deliveries
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Employment is contingent on:

  • Background investigation
  • Drug screening (if applicable)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if applicable)
Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Experience with medical equipment, billing, and medical terminology (preferred)
  • One year of related work experience (preferred)
