Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative responsible for managing patient information related to durable medical equipment and respiratory products. This includes communication with patients, clients, co-workers, and referral sources regarding patient services and third-party reimbursements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with updating respiratory grid and verifying paperwork accuracy.
  2. Communicate with patients and referral sources to address questions and concerns.
  3. Complete SOPs/CMNs and document on tracking logs.
  4. Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  5. Coordinate patient information, process paperwork for billing, and prepare reports.
  6. Maintain referral logs and monitor office supplies.
  7. Prepare deposits and invoices, process paperwork, and manage patient charts.
  8. Provide service for retail/walk-in equipment requests and technical assistance.
  9. Verify insurance coverage and collaborate with outside agencies to resolve issues.
  10. May be required to cover on-call duties, drive a company vehicle, and make home deliveries.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: experience with medical equipment, billing, or in the medical field.
  • One year of related work experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record (if applicable).
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Effective multitasking and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently or in a team.
Physical Demands:
  • Lift and transport equipment (minimum 35 pounds).
  • Potential exposure to contagious pathogens.
  • Requires sitting, standing, walking, and visual acuity.
