Job summary

IHCS is a leading home health provider delivering DME, respiratory, home health and infusion services across the United States. Our Medical Economics Analyst will examine claims, utilization, authorizations, membership and provider data to identify cost trends and support data-driven decisions.

You will build recurring and ad hoc analyses, validate data and methods, and present clear recommendations to clinical, network, finance, operations and executive teams.

Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data validation, and financial or analytical modeling.
• Working knowledge of healthcare claims, medical terminology, coding concepts, reimbursement methodologies, utilization measures, and healthcare cost drivers.
• Ability to calculate and interpret PMPM, utilization rates, unit cost, trend, variance, ROI, and other healthcare performance measures.

What will you need to succeed:

• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills and demonstrated ability to work with large, complex datasets.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data validation, and financial or analytical modeling.
• Working knowledge of healthcare claims, medical terminology, coding concepts, reimbursement methodologies, utilization measures, and healthcare cost drivers.
• Ability to calculate and interpret PMPM, utilization rates, unit cost, trend, variance, return on investment, and other healthcare performance measures.
• Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to explain technical findings clearly to both analytical and nontechnical audiences.
