Job summary

St. Clair Health in the Pittsburgh area seeks a full-time, board-certified Medical Dosimetrist to join the St. Clair Health Cancer Center affiliated with UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.

The team includes two physicists, one dosimetrist, and two radiation oncologists working with Varian TrueBeam and IX accelerators on ARIA/Eclipse infrastructure. The Medical Dosimetrist will generate optimized treatment plans, participate in CT simulation and QA, and support clinical research while maintaining high

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Dosimetry educational program accredited by JRCERT.
• Board certified by the MDCB; board eligible candidates must become certified within two attempts in the first two consecutive years of employment.
• CMD or board eligibility required.
• CPR required per AHA standards with training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Generate clinically optimal treatment plans for radiation therapy patients in collaboration with radiation oncologists, technologists, and physicists.
• Perform CT simulation, treatment planning, and quality management for radiation oncology patients.
• Contour and delineate normal and planning structures using imaging modalities.
• Perform dose calculations for treatment delivery and participate in QA procedures.
• Assist with HDR and LDR brachytherapy procedures and clinical research.
