• CMD Certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board.
• Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences / Medical Dosimetry preferred.
• Experience with treatment planning software, Eclipse is preferred.

We are currently searching for a board-certified medical dosimetrist to join our team. This is an hybrid (2 days onsite) role based in NYC covering 2 sites in Queens. The ideal candidate is proficient with Eclipse treatment planning system, as well as Aria record and verify system.

What You’ll Do

• Develop radiation treatment plans with members of the radiation oncology team.
• Perform dosimetry activities to include contouring, deformable/rigid registrations, dose accumulation, treatment planning (3D, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS), and treatment preparation.
• Treatment management for patients before, during and after treatment. Coordinate patient care with physician, physics, therapist, nursing, and administration staff.
• Advise radiation team members how beam modifying, or immobilization devices should be used in radiation treatments.
• Calculate or verify calculations of prescribed radiation doses.
• Define and record clinical site workflows.
• Perform additional duties, as needed.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• CMD Certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board.
• Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences / Medical Dosimetry or related field preferred.
• Experience with treatment planning software, Eclipse is preferred
• Experience with External Beam Planning, including conventional planning, 3D, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of radiation oncology.
• Ability to accurately delineate organs at risk and develop optimal treatment plans in accordance with the physician’s prescription and constraint form.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills with all levels of the healthcare team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Works well independently and in team environments.
• Ability to stay focused and organized in a high-volume facility.
• Superior level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Maintains a positive and safe working environment for the customers serviced.
