Job summary

VITAS Healthcare is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily deliveries and equipment service across its service areas. The role requires strong customer service and phone skills to ensure timely ETA communication and smooth operations.

Responsibilities include routing, on-call scheduling, issue resolution, and collaboration with service center management. A high school diploma and 2–5 years of related experience are preferred, with English proficiency required and bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service, phone and interpersonal skills.
• Direct routing functions daily.
• Experience with medical equipment preferred.
• Two to five years of related experience preferred.
• Must be computer proficient.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent English communication; bilingual a plus.
• Familiarity with VITAS Healthcare service areas.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch orders to MST using logistics software.
• Monitor and optimize MST routes for timely ETAs.
• Document and follow up on order exceptions.
• Coordinate daily deliveries, pick-ups and equipment service.
• Communicate with service center management and MSTs about ETAs and issues.
• Assist in minimizing overtime through efficient routing.
• Attend required trainings.
