Job summary

Community College of Beaver County seeks a Veterinarian/Medical Director to lead the Veterinary Technology program. The role balances teaching (8–10 credits/semester) with clinical supervision, program leadership, and partnership coordination across Monaca, Washington, and partner sites.

Requirements include a DVM/VMD, active veterinary licensure, and experience in clinical practice. DEA licensure is preferred and may be obtained within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school.
• Current licensure as a veterinarian.
• DEA registration is strongly preferred; candidates must obtain DEA licensure within six months of hire if not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and medical leadership for the Veterinary Technology program across multiple locations.
• Lead development and implementation of animal use SOPs and IACUC protocols.
• Teach 8–10 credits per semester and supervise students in laboratory and clinical settings.
• Oversee mobile veterinary unit operations and clinical partnerships to ensure safety and learning outcomes.
